Your website needs to address many different but complementary issues that span disciplines such as site design and aesthetics, usability, content, functionality and searchability. There are a lot of pieces involved in creating an effective web site, that’s where the Website Designer comes into play.

The Website Designer helps you to determine the page layout, graphics, text location and colors of your site, as well as the navigation and how pages will cross-link to one another. A Website Designer is the project manager for your site design after all; designing a website takes a wee bit of rocket science mixed in with some artistic magic and creative vision. Your Website designer will understand your audience to ensure that your visitors can get what they want quickly and easily.

Once your design concept is complete your Website Designer will take the design and create the code to make the site run. Your designer is also responsible for all the technical stuff that happens behind-the-scenes to make sure the site works properly for your visitors.

Of course your project doesn’t end here, you’ll still need to market your website and in a sea of websites online, you need to be found. This is where your Website Designer will work on your sites Search Engine Optimization. Increasingly, people rely on search engines to find information, so good search engine placement can make or break your site. Organic SEO will get your site included in search engines and will dictate your search result rankings based on site factors. However, search engines change their ranking algorithms regularly, requiring you to analyze your traffic and usage patterns and constantly evaluate and tweak your website.

Put your website’s design in the hands of experts. Whether you are looking for a redesign of your existing site or a custom design for a new web¬site, our design and development experts are ready to help you with your website design and aesthetics, usability, content, functionality and search-ability.

<a

In the past few weeks I have heard from several customers, friends and even my dental hygienist that they just don’t have time for social networking. So how can regular folk get involved with social media? How much time does it really take and how can you fit getting involved with social media into your day-to-day routine?

1–5 Hours per Week — Personal Participant

A personal participant prefers to post less often. Personal participants can set up MySpace or Facebook pages and groups, run a Twitter feed, comment on blogs, and/or upload images to a site like flickr. He/She finds that the most time-consuming aspect of posting to sites like Facebook or Twitter is both the broadcasting aspect (deciding what to post) as well as keeping up with building lists of friends and followers.

5–10 Hours per Week — Social Participant

A social content participant can start a blog or a podcast. Both activities require slightly more advanced technical skills and a larger time commitment. Bloggers should aim for a minimum of at least one post per week, but two or three would be better. This type of blogger is also usually contributing to a company or community website and focuses on driving traffic to their websites.

10–20 Hours per Week — Global Participant

The global participant is much more involved with social media. The global participant’s focus is more narrowly aimed towards his/her business or niche. He or she is involved in community websites; they work with discussion boards and projects that involve other social media sites. Basically this category involves getting involved in larger scale activities and once launched and running, they take on a life of their own. This type of blogger/social networking wizard is most likely working with a website design firm specializing in search engine optimization and website traffic analytics to improve their search engine rankings and ultimately generate qualified business leads.

If you fit into any of these roles and need help getting started, streamlining all of your social media postings or more advanced help with increasing your search engines rankings and website traffic analysis, <a

Has Twitter created a new language? Twitter is becoming a culture in itself. Spawning new words, and creating new concepts around its lingo. For those of you who may be a little confused, this post is meant to clear up some of that inside mumbo-jumbo.<span

They are keywords you use to put your tweet in certain topics. You usually use hashtags when tracking a popular topic. That’s when you use a DM.

Method 1: If you want to send a @Friend a direct message, type it like this: D Friend This is the message.

D at start is to ensure this is a private message. Friend is the Twitter ID of the person you’re sending a DM, and the rest is your message. NOTE: Always use D and not DM at the start of a direct message or it’ll end up in public timeline.

Method 2: Switch to “Direct Messages” tab on your Twitter page, select a person from the drop down menu, enter your message in the input box, and hit the send button.

Buzzard watching — the Google way!

Network Support

Online Marketing

Buzz

Gmail

Google

Google Apps
<guid
